ATHOL, Mass. -- For the past 27 years the Athol Women's Club has sponsored the town's Memory Tree which is placed in the uptown Common.
Each light on the tree represents the name of a loved one who is being remembered during this time of the year. The tree was picked out and cut down by two of the Wendell residents and staff. Dedric Gillmor and Jacob Williams assisted their staff Mike Pierce and placed the tree at the Athol gazebo. The money raised from donations will be used toward the community improvement projects.
