Community Resources for Justice recently released its 2021 annual report. Titled “This is Our Community,” this year’s report highlights the continued successes of the individuals we serve and our staff in the face of the incredible challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite the enormous disruptions, nearly 500 people successfully completed their stay at one of CRJ’s residential reentry centers during their transition from incarceration back home to their communities. Another 265 people were able to live more independent lives through supportive programs for adults with developmental disabilities. And the Crime and Justice Institute helped advance justice system improvements in 35 states, including successful legislative initiatives in Tennessee and Michigan.
The report also details changes in CRJ’s leadership with the retirement of the organization’s longtime chief financial officer and the addition of three new members to the executive team.
There’s also updated financial information for fiscal year 2021 and recognition of CRJ’s generous donors who make our work possible.
