BOSTON, Mass. -- On Tuesday, April 9, supporters gathered to advocate for fair funding of essential services that help Massachusetts’ most vulnerable residents and a modest salary increase for low-paid direct care workers.
Specifically, Caring Force members will seek $140 million for Chapter 257 implementation and a $16.6 million Salary Reserve for low-paid workers.
Scott Harshbarger, Chair of CRJ Board, spoke of the importance of sustaining funding needed to help low-paid suman services workers that are taking care of very vulnerable populations.
